Team Gazelle Rocking the 100K

Rocky start to the morning as I awoke to a phone call 5 minutes after I was supposed to be at our meetup spot. Nonetheless, groggy and undercaffienated, I started the first leg and Team Gazelle was off!  And the day only got better.  It was cool and windy, but we had the occasional glimpse of spring, especially as we did the 1700 foot drop from the Palouse to the Snake River Canyon.  Lisa took team the rest of the way across the Palouse before Heidi took the drop to the Snake River.  Thom and Jim carried Team Gazelle along the Snake River, before Matt drove against the 1700+ foot climb, swallowing dust from cars getting to the next exchange.  Larry ran the team into the town of Colton, where I got a second shot and was joined by Matt who didn't get enough from his first round.  Liza took over from Johnson on until passing to Kelby who brought us back to WSU and to a finish under 8:30.
